Who handles your data

Ærth operates Ærth Intelligence and is the controller of the personal data processed on the platform, under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Contact for anything about privacy: intelligence@aerth.online.

What data we process

Account data: name, e-mail, password (stored encrypted by the authentication provider) and language.

Profile data you choose to give: headline, biography, photo, country, links and areas of expertise.

What you publish: investigations, claims, evidence, files, contributions, reviews and your participation in activities, always with date and authorship.

Usage records needed for operation and security: access to restricted works, file downloads, signed agreements, consents and permission changes. When you sign an agreement we keep a hash of the network address and of the browser, not the values themselves.

Conversations with the assistant, when it is active: your questions and the answers, visible only to you.

We do not collect identity documents or biometric data.

What we use it for

To run the platform and do what it promises: record authorship and lineage, control who can read each work, and tell you about what concerns you. The legal bases are performing the service you asked for when you created the account, the legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe and sound and, for optional communications, your consent.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Identity verification

Some works require a verified identity. Verification is done by a person on the Ærth team, who checks a public reference you give (for example, an institutional profile) against your account. We keep the decision, the date and the reference given.

Who we share it with

With other people on the platform, according to each work's classification and your profile privacy choices.

With the providers that make the platform work, which process data on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting, delivery and e-mail routing) and Resend (sending e-mail). When the assistant is active, the text needed to answer your question is sent to Anthropic, which provides the language model. These providers may process data outside Brazil.

With authorities, when the law requires it.

For how long

For as long as your account exists. If you ask for deletion, your personal data is removed: name, e-mail, photo, links, expertise, conversations with the assistant, notifications and memberships. The contributions you made stay, attributed to a removed account, because other people built on them. Consents and signed agreements are kept for the period the law requires, as evidence.

Your rights

At any time, in Settings › Your data, you can: download a copy of your data, produced on the spot; ask for a correction; ask for your account to be deleted. You can also review your consents, adjust what your public profile shows, and turn e-mails off. Correction and deletion requests are handled by the team and recorded. You may also contact Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember language and theme. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Access to data is enforced in the database itself, row by row, according to each person's permissions. Files of restricted works are only delivered after access is checked again, through a link that expires in minutes. No system is infallible; if an incident affects your data, you will be told.

Changes

This policy may change. Each version is numbered and dated. Significant changes are announced on the platform.
